Why we at big group Amsterdam partner with our Retail Experience Center
Brands put a lot of effort into their online and social media presence – and it makes sense, given how fast online shopping is growing. For many products, people start their research online, and by the time they actually head to a store, experience center, or mall, the decision is often already made.
That’s why we’re working with our Retail Innovation Center to use technology that helps us serve customers even better. This way, we can keep adding value in the physical world and better bridge the gap between online investments and what happens in-store. We run online campaigns for top brands in the Netherlands, but we also want this to have a real impact on the shop floor.
No surprise, AI plays a big role here. It’s tough to find store staff; some customers prefer Dutch, others English, Chinese, Spanish, or another language. Products are getting more complex, and lifecycles are getting shorter, which means the need for good info is growing fast. The response “I’ll ask my colleague” often makes customers lose confidence in making a purchase.
Recently, we built an AI platform in our Retail Innovation Center with smart sales agents ready to help 24/7. These digital assistants know all the product details and can make connections to recommend the best choice. Avatars, reflecting each brand’s unique vibe, guide customers and give them a short intro while the advisor finishes another conversation. The first results are really promising.
The AI agent works seamlessly alongside the sales advisor, creating a strong team. The AI has all the knowledge at hand, can help more people at once, is never out sick, and shows that the brand is forward-thinking. The human advisor adds the personal touch and attention customers appreciate when they show interest in your brand. And of course, it’s a plus if all this drives more sales and improves the ROI of your store or experience center.
