How do you make sure more than 2.2 million rheumatism patients feel understood?
Rheumatism means having difficulty moving, extreme fatigue and unbearable pain. Many patients feel they are misunderstood because you can’t always see it and the symptoms can vary from day to day. It means there’s pain on top of pain. That is why we came up with a campaign for the Reumafonds which tries to raise awareness of rheumatism. Under the heading ‘Plant a bulb to grow understanding’ we are summoning everyone to plant a bulb on reumafonds.nl to grow understanding for the two million people living with rheumatism. The campaign was launched on World Arthritis Day. We organised an event at a bulb field in De Beemster Polder, where we surprised TV personality and Reumafonds ambassador Anita Witzier with a tulip that had been named after her.
